Our client Yourcabs.com operates a platform to efficiently connect consumers in need of transport, with vendors in need of increased occupancy. Customers can make bookings through 3 possible methods- Online, Mobile website and phone. While traditionally most of the bookings have been coming from the phone method, the other 2 methods are fast catching up in terms of no of bookings being made. To maintain infrastructure to cater to a certain demand level in any of the booking methods, certain fixed and variable cost is incurred by our client.
Prosper.com is an online peer-to-peer lending system for borrowing money and investing in loans
through an open and transparent auction model. Prosper.com borrowers create credit profiles
containing information lenders can review before determining whether to invest or not in a
borrower. Even with this information, one challenge Prosper.com lenders face is being able to

It rates all the borrowers’ and using those ratings lenders decide if and how much they want to invest.
The goal of this project was to build a model for determining factors affecting the transaction of an eBay auction for golf balls. The model is aimed at helping sellers on eBay of how to increase their conversion rate (percentage of transacted auctions)

The project goal is to determine the factors affecting online customers' intention of returning to Vliegtarieven.nl to purchase airline tickets, based on a large survey of their customers (we thank Prof Otto Koppius from RSM Erasmus for sharing the data and problem)
Online Websites are facing more competitionas communities become more fickle and unpredictable. Websites need to attract larger audiences while keeping current users engaged. The goal of this project is to build a model to understand what contributes to a user’s success in online dating, and in particular what factors affects receiving a message. The data used were from an online dating service provider in Israel (we thank Prof Sheizaf Rafaeli from Haifa University for sharing the data)
