I am on sabbatical leave in Bhutan this academic year. Two sections of the "Data Mining for Business" MBA elective will be offered in Fall 2008 by great insturctors. One in DC by Herb Edelstein and one in Baltimore by Inbal Yahav.
Prof. Shmueli launched an active platform for veterans of the "Data Mining for Business" course, where ex-students can keep in touch and interact on everything from careers to cool stories. Past students can also join the LinkedIn group.
Data Mining for Business is an MBA-level 15-week elective course. The course covers data mining techniques and their use in strategic business decision making. This is a hands-on course that provides an understanding of the key methods of data visualization, exploration, classification, prediction, time series forecasting, and clustering.
